Pandya Hospital
was promoted by late Dr. H.B. Pandya and his wife Dr. Mrs. S.H. Pandya.
The idea was to introduce the concept of minimal invasive surgery in the
state of Rajasthan.Their son Dr. Rohit Pandya who is a surgeon had gone to
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham England to attend a hands on training
course in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Mr. Paul mc Master who was the
course director there, then came to Jaipur in Nov. 1992, and trained a
team of doctors at Pandya Hospital, Jaipur. This marked the beginning of
laparoscopic surgery in the state of Rajasthan.In years to follow Dr. Rohit Pandya ably supported by his wife Dr. Mrs. Renuka Pandya who is a M.S. in Gynae & Obstet. developed various laparoscopic procedures in the field of general surgery and gynecology, which are popular today. Later on other facilities in the. Field of Gastroenterology and urology ware added to provide a comprehensive care under one roof The latest being Capsule Endoscopy.
